Lol..it does play a role for sure. The distinct vocal colors and ways of singing since they're only 4 makes them easy to differentiate and it does appeal to people.

they are unique for sure and contributes but it's only part of the equation

It does play a part tbh one of the reasons I Stanned is because of how unique all of their vocals , it was definitely the first thing i noticed about them when I first heard them specifically Jisoo.

But thats jusg one of the reasons they stand out not the only or main one.

Their are alot of other ggs with unique vocals as well but sadly aren't as popular

not really to be honest. I think what makes BP so popular is a combination of things, debuting from YG helps a lot, they had a fantastic reputation when it comes to their music creation abilities. They make good music that is appealing to a large audience. Obviously the girls themselves are fantastic and their talents and personalities make them easy to love. However, I dont think these qualities are lacking in many other girl groups. Plenty of girl group members have similar charms to most members of popular girl groups. I think luck has a place in any persons success. If you placed the same four girls and debuted them under say DSP Media would they be as popular? IDK, but I think anyone would be lying if they said definitely yes. When it comes to it a multiple factors set BP apart from other girl groups. Those factors exist in other very popular girl groups to some extent.

Not at all for me. They have distinctive voice colors, but it's not something unique to Blackpink

I would say it's one of the factors, but I think the biggest factor is their music, I love their music and it's one of my favorites(there's a reason why they are my ults).

For me, all of the songs in their small but mighty discography are bops except for one(we all know which one and if you say another one then you are lying to yourself).
