Are C-bars the future of kpop sales?

  • YT likes isn't a good enough metric. Fans make quite a lot of accounts or buy followers/subscribers and it isn't always an indication that there are real people. It is quite a common phenomenon in kpop.

These strange ratios have just started happening, consistently, this year. Something is clearly different.

The way I see it, people stream less on yt, it is harder with the new algorithm to get high views or people stream less altogether.

Bigger fandoms like Armys, Blinks, Onces etc might care more for yt and the size of the fandom or the fact that some of these groups have a reach outside of kpop, might affect the number of likes. But for smaller groups that was never a metric most people used as an indication of success. Let alone for a group that is a week old.

The difference is due to a large increase of sales this year for girl groups, not a drop in YT likes. Likes have stayed about the same.

Whatever the change is, it has increased sales but not YT likes. C-bars fit that.

  • still cant tour in china, and its also still risky as fuck

china and USA are threating war with each other, South Korea new president is heavy PRO usa, china could easily ban hallyu all together

  • With Aespa and now NewJeans, we have seen explosive growth of sales, without equal growth of other metrics like MV likes on YT. The most obvious explanation is that the sales are coming from China, since they don't use YT. Particularly C-bars who bulk order. It's seems like China is the next big market you need to be in, like how SM focused on Japan in the early 2000's to explode sales.

For example HYLT has 23M likes and their album sold about 3 million counting digitals. Aespa's girls will probably be around 3M likes at the same age but their sales are about 1.7M now (let's say 2M at the same age to be very conservative). That's a proportion of about 7.7 and 1.5 likes/sales. Even using LSG, their less popular single from the album, you get 4.7, 3x Aespa. That's a huge difference.

The more interactions users carry out on a YouTube Channel, the better this affects the rating by the Algorithm. This is because giving a Like or posting a comment sends a positive signal to YouTube's technical infrastructure. It is essential to buy YouTube Likes for the best price on our website for it to happen.

  • What do you mean future?

China Bars have been bulk buying for SME since the 2nd Generation :P

China Bars are known for buying almost solely for Charting in South Korea as Album Sales count toward most Music Shows and Major Shows.

We also know that China Bars raise a lot of money because it led to the China Government banning spending money on Celebrity Events like buying Advertising for Birthdays.

So what we are seeing with the 4th Gen GGs isn't that much different than what was happening in the 2nd and 3rd gen for BGs.
