Wow. The hype is real 
I am really impressed. Best example that we can't compare today's album sales with yesterday's. Especially NewJean's, a group which only debuted now, success shows that Kpop has reached a whole other level.
Kpop has really become much more successful and this success is definitely due to groups like BTS, Blackpink, Exo, Twice etc. who have created a completely different level internationally for the 4th generation. Just like SNSD, BigBang, 2NE1, SJ etc. did for the third generation, you can see here that the international success of the third generation is definitely to the advantage of the fourth generation.
I congratulate every successful Kpop group. They work hard as a trainee for years for something they don't know if it will pay off, and just that years of uncertain training makes that success all the better.
It shows that while visuals, concepts and idols are important, I think newjeans releasing 3 amazing songs back to back gave people confidence to buy their album. Like even if I’m not a fan yet, I knew that I’m gonna get great songs on top of that cute black bag (yeah I’m still thinking about it). I don’t have to be a stan to buy the album. I already know what I’m getting.
