Would BlackPink sell as well if they didn't take two years hiatus?

I'm not a blink but I still think their comeback would be successful regardless. Like them or not, they do have pulling power.

They did combeback 3 times in 2020 and sold 1.8m, and if you count solos you have a big grand of 3m sales from a period of October to September . Maybe you should shut up about BP considering the names on your user

Gap doesn’t really increase sales. If anything more releases would have resulted in even more sales for them.

1.5M The Album

600k Rose's album

800k Lisa's album

That's over 3 million albums in 16 months.

First of all we must decide if you mean sales/release or total sales/year. If you mean sales/release, yes I think they would sale less, if you mean sales/year, no they would sale more. So yes and no.

Overall they'd have more sales.

With that logic SNSD should sell 5M because they have had even longer hiatus. Imagine how much time their fans got to save the money!
