Is your given name difficult to spell/pronounce?

My deadname is simple as is my preferred name...

I had some foreigners butchering it though.

Very easy given name. My family name, on the other hand .

People don't have a problem with it for the most part

English speakers will sometimes put their own twist on the pronunciation though LOL but even then it's close enough I guess.

ye most people end up misspelling or mispronouncing my english name, which is why im thinking of removing my english name and keeping my chinese name only officially...but idk how it'll be like going by my chinese name so im considering lol

Foreigners don't tend to butcher it that bad, but never get it fully right either because of a diacritical mark

You'd think the name "Naomi" is simple to spell and pronounce. It is not I absolutely despise my birthname and a large part was pretty much everyone I met butchering it

You can't really pronounce the first letter of my name it you're not Arab because the sound only exists in the Arabic language lol.

But it sounds nice either way so I don't really mind.

My parents changed my name from Viet to a name that's common in multiple languages when I was in middle school (in the US).

It's short and easy to spell, and I can't for the life of me figure out why people spell it wrong sometimes, besides laziness.

They aren’t hard to spell or pronounce but they aren’t super common so people sometimes mess them up. They usually figure out my first name but sometimes end up switching it out for a more common name that’s similar to mine. But I only have to correct them once before they get it.

My surname is a bit more tricky since it’s foreign. But I admit I don’t know the correct pronunciation either and just pronounce it the way it’s written in my language so, again, after I’ve said it out loud people are quick to pick it up.

yes. i gave up getting people to pronounce it correctly at a very young age. my name is very short, but sometimes even relatives spell it wrong, and idek how, but even on social media people will spell it wrong when my name is literally right in front of them. i'm convinced 2 of the letters create an optical illusion or something.
