how long does it take you to know if you like a song?

One or two listens.

I try to listen to the full song before I fully make up my mind. Too many times, I've been jamming and then they put in a weird af chorus or the final verse ruins the whole effect.

Sometimes it takes months lol.

What i dont get is when people stop liking a song because it's gotten old. Like when folks say something that they used to love is somehow "dated" or "aging like milk". Makes no sense whatsoever.

I understand a song you dont like or a song that's meh aging even worse with time. I understand maybe getting a bit bored of a song you like after replaying it a thousand times.

I don't understand actually switching from something you enjoy to something you hate, just because it's no longer trendy? My alltime favorite songs are like 30-40 years old and i love them now even more than when i first heard them most of the time.

Depends on the song, some songs I like as soon as I hear it, others I have to give multiple listens to and then I might still not like it.

There are songs that I know instantly within the first 5 seconds that I i will really really like it - those songs usually end up being some of my fav songs

There are songs I've disliked off the first couple listens but later on find myself vibing to

And there are songs I like right off the first listen

if depends on the song. Some songs I like right away within first listen. Some I hate but slowly love after like 20 listens.
