People don't even know the chance that BP has to work with Teddy
True, Yang hyun-suk is the one who created the group but he ask Teddy to take care of the girls (and "taking care" doesn't only mean music but the whole image )

As lisa said Teddy is like their CEO / big brother .....he is the one who makes the decision and manage the direction
if the girls want to do something or want advice, it's not the new PD (who changes every year by the way) they will talk to, but Teddy
I'm sure the only things they talk about with PD is : " their contract, getting a better promotion and their money " that's it
Also think about it, 90% of YG idols were brought by Hyun suk including Treasure and I'm sure he had a lot of plans for them but after he left , the projects left with him
Since Yang Hyun Suk's departure in 2019, it's been a total mess in YG label
- Groups/soloist do not comeback regularly
- the concept and timing are no longer coordinated
- the staff can no longer protect their idols
- The marketing team falls into the ground
- And the group promotion is a joke
It's hard for a group to manage them-self unless you're GD and regarding how bad the team who work with ikon and treasure are... i can conclude that they have no clue about what to do with them
So imagine now if BP wasn't on Teddy's team after Hyun suk left the company ....They won't be where they are today with all the chaos in yg
What does this new CEO of YG can bring, he's not even a business man and he doesn't know anything about music , he's doctor
