minGtion

I. Introduction

minGtion (밍지션) is a Korean songwriter and producer, who has written songs for Baekhyun, Taeyeon, NCT, Red Velvet, SHINee, Ailee, Jamie, Twice, Day 6, Pentagon and LOONA.

II. Career

minGtion graduated from the prestigious Seoul Institute of the Arts, one of the best arts universities in South Korea, with a degree in music composition. minGtion's work utilizes layers of harmonies and ranges from emotional and elegant piano ballads, including her chart-topping song "Geu Dae Ra Neun Si" with Taeyeon from the popular TV show Hotel Del Luna OST and NCT 127's "Make Your Day", to upbeat and bright pop songs like Red Velvet's "Queendom" and Twice's "Oxygen." She works frequently with SM Entertainment.

During some SM recording sessions, minGtion can be heard and seen working with the artists in the behind-the-scenes videos on her songs. She can be heard during this session working with members of NCT U and teasing Taeil with "are you the person who wrote this song by any chance? Because you're so great."
