This does not apply to all of them tho, and this most certainly doesn’t apply to non-Asian Kpop idols like Fatou (BlackSwan) or Alex (ex-Rania)

There are so many groups that are trying their own thing be it concept or music style, and yet it gets hate each time

NCT has their whole infinite members/unit concept = Gets hate for it

TripleS is an upcoming 24 member GG that will have solos, units, groups = Gets hate for it

NMIXX has their whole mixed sound concept = Gets hate for it

AESPA has AI versions of themselves = Gets hate for it, alongside weirdos making it out that there are sexual implications for it

Like these people will complain about how Kpop does the same things all the time, but would also complain if a girl group dares to have more than 5 members & do a non-girl crush eqsue concept

And god forbid you have the slightest gimmick for a groups brand, and the thinkpieces gonna come out as if Kpop wasn’t built off of gimmicks

Idk, just something that needed to be said. And I know there’s gonna be some buttmuncher who’s gonna be like “Just because I want to see something new, doesn’t mean I will agree with every non-traditional thing in Kpop that gets introduced” cuz no one said you had to agree or like EVERY new/unique aspect, but to complain about most if not all of it when you claim you want to see new things in the genre makes you part of the problem I’m pointing out

Like if you want to see new things in Kpop, actually give them a chance when they’re introduced. Or at the very least just own up to the fact that you want the same types of groups for eternity lol

Yeah they’re actually supposed to have solos, units, and group releases. Group prob being 7-9ish. Cuz I’m sure they won’t promote as 24 (much). And they’re gonna do different concepts & music genres too

Which tbh is kinda refreshing. So long as the members get fair exposure, the idea of rotational lineups per song alongside different types of projects is really cool

As for the girlfriend aspect, that’s all Kpop groups no matter how small or talent focused they are, the whole concept of idols is to sell fantasies like that

Though this is pretty much an AKB48 esque group so in that case it isn’t much off

With that said, the current members seem to get along very well, so it could work in their favor

The members all trained in isolation, so they meet each other when they’re official members

4. Nishihara Noa, actress? Visual. Bias? The one I think is most likely to debut. Her or Ohyama Ruan.

5. Yamasaki Ria, reminds me of Hyolyn. Bias?

6. Daily Tabatha Mia, knew she was hapa without even seeing her name. Could appeal to the West.

7. Okada Ayano, love her vibe. Her ear poking out is "kawaii" as they say. Bias?

8. Nishida Runa, is she also hapa? Gives me Bahiyyih vibes.

Agreed, ever since NiziU/NiZi Project & the success that came from them, more Kpopesque Japanese Girl Groups from Kpop companies/producers came out

Even with that said, y’all act like male fans are all a bunch of 30-40+ year old men stanning 16 year old girls (which isn’t a problem if they just like the idol aspect as oppose to going in detail about how attracted they are to them). A ton of male fans are high school-college age

“The rise of underage idols doing cute & sexy concept” lol they been doing that since forever, there’s no sudden rise in it

So yeah, if your first thought to male fans stanning girl groups with cute concept is “creepy”, that’s a hateful bias point blank period
