Artists that don't renew their contracts means they won't be a Financial Expense to the Company

Got7 are the only JYPE Artists that could have earned money more than their expenses EXCEPT COVID arrived and SLASHED their Earning Potential. Got7 make more money outside of SK but feeding them, housing them and paying other expenses isn't really worth the risk especially as the Korean Member are going to enlist.

The current 4 Active JYPE Groups are earning big dollar profit or in 2PM's case are earning enough from their Individual Projects.

If you add NiziU that are on track to earn as much as TWICE then you know what Profit is

Other than BTS and Seventeen having massive sales in Albums in Japan for the first quarter but JYPE's NiziU was basically 4 times of JYPE's combined Korean Album Sales in Japan

AND....

Japanese Albums all sell at a much higher price than their Korean counterparts.

The title needs to be changed to Korean Album Releases because HYBE and JYPE sell well in Japan

Without the COVID situation, Gfriend would have likely renewed their contracts as SouMu were aiming at having more Concerts

It's just a natural result of Gfriend leaving.

They only had 21 staff members in 2019 and half were probably involved with Gfriend, the rest being Trainers and general staff.

But what is more clear is that Source Music might not be debuting a Group in the near future although they could still be training Trainees.

The other speculation is that HYBE could be debuting a GG where HYBE can absorb any loss under a COVID environment while Source Music could likely go under.

So thinking of it more.....

I'm thinking that Source Music could be the central source for recruiting and trainee female talent.

But you have to consider that Sony Music Japan gets a portion of those profits, it's unsure how much that is.

What also can't be ignored is the CFs/CMs that NiziU have landed which are already more than TWICE's whole career in Japan.

SF9 renewed their contract this year so FNC is going to push them on every show while CUBE is well known to put their Artists on any show that offers so BTOB don't really have a choice

I bet a massive majority of Kpop fans can't even name the CEO of their biases, although JYPark is probably the most well known
