The first two easily have the most star power and charisma in the group. Ahyeon, she was kind of invisible in Sheesh IMO but as far as I'm aware she's the most popular.
YG is not even pushing Asa but she is just too good in getting the attention lol.
Agree about Chiquita though
My issue is not pushing, cause objectively, Their focus should be on Ahyeon & Chiquita as they are the stan attractors, but what I mean is giving Rami a shot at the performance part of the song, as she kills it as seen in Batter Up, and to promote Rorafrom being a sub because she is a hidden gem
the album being a debut album is true. It is their debut album.
I get the issue with Sheesh being the supposed debut, cause really batter up was the debut, and I think they will keep celebrating batter up date as their debut date.
that's the hard thing of having a lot of members being all-rounders.
Ahyeon, ruka, and chiquita could be the center of the group. I'm glad rami had her spotlight on batter up having the center time on chorus and outro.
Rora not having many lines is due to them having 5 vocalists in the group. I'm gladrlra had her spotlight on the intro and the bridge. But it's stillsad to think that rora doesn't have much line in like that.
I know one has to take short stick, I just don't want it to be Rami, she is too good of a performer to be pushed aside,
but really I would feel sad for each one because all the girls deserve the attention we need them to balance it out in the albums
man, I agree Rami and Rora have the best vocals imo but sometimesI feel they get less lines especially Rora. I don't get i why, when I watch vocal coach reactors they have nothing but positive things to say about her and her vocals. I hope the girls get more r&b kind of songs in the future.
the way YG is not focusing on Rora is killing me. Like the girl has both the visuals and talent and she is treated like a sub vocal/sub dancer...
Its difficult to balance the attention on the 7 girls though So one has to take the short stick
I didn't even think of April's Fool and still knew you were lying
Haha, you are leaving nugudom. Congrats!
Didn't know you stanned Lesserafim as well. I didn't look at the badges, just tried to do it by memory. I am an ARMY, but I'll let others guess before I reveal what else I am. Will tell you later if nobody guesses

Based on badges I would say Day6?
Or a GG s, everybody should have 1GG and 1 BG lol 🤣
So, let me get this straight. MANY people can talk shit about other groups from small agencies, can call them nugus and irrelevant, but HYBE and YG stans can't handle a little and fair criticism and won't create threads about that and try to stop the hate against them? This screams hypocrisy, I'm sorry.
I know there are a lot of people who hate them, but stop with the generalization. Not everyone who has a different opinion is a hater.
People call me a hater, because I didn't like ILLIT's song, or when I criticized their encore performance.
1st: I don't have to love their songs, it's for children, period!
2nd: criticizing their performance is not hate, just a normal thing. They're Idols for God's sake. They are trained to do a good job, or at least average. Even their own fans said 2 of the members shouldn't be part of the group, so my criticism was valid. That was the first and last time I mentioned them.
When they first debuted with Dream, I had positive feelings, because we heard they can sing. In my opinion, Aheyeon isn't even their best vocalist, it's Rami. She proved it, even in that trash SHEESH track. Then, YG released another lame song with Batter Up and I lost my interest. After Stuck in the Middle, I literally was in the middle, but SHEESH shushed all my hope in YG. I follow YG groups since the beginning, that's why I'm always critical with them.
I said this MANY times, I don't hate any group, I criticize their talent, their commitments, or performances. Everyone does that, especially on AKP, but with smaller groups is nothing special, because their fans don't cry like mainstream fandoms. My problem 98% of the time are the COMPANIES! Someone already made a thread about the BIG4 agencies being lazy as hell, and it is 100% true. They're lazy, because their fans don't want anything new or better, they will follow them everywhere. This is what I call a toxic relationship.😅
Like it or not, HYBE, YG, JYP and even SM is payola. All of them pay for ads, and not only on Youtube, and they do many other things as well. Not only girl groups, boy groups too.
Mixing real hate with fair criticism is probably worse than the toxic people online.
I will leave this video here from a Vocal Coach. Learn some new things.

Goes to all. I didn't say nugu groups are not subjected to hate??
Critisize all you want, I do criticize too, however do not go to every single thread even if it is not related, dont keep beating the same horse.
And after more than 10 days? I think people who want to criticize the song/company/ads whatever would be done. The rest is just hate, unless a new thing happens which didnt for both of these groups
P.S I know agencies do promos on spotify/yt/etc. Its what they are for, i question them if they didn't tbh, but that is a diffrent topic
like i've been enjoying both comebacks and reading what everyone has to say and even though i don't personally dislike the groups as much as a lot of people seem to it's not ruining for me that other people don't like them
it seems like you all are really effected by the stuff you read i just don't really get that
It does when its not related.
If the thread is about digital performance you can say they are flopping or whatever, however if its a thread about how someone likes the song/proud of a certain achievement and they come in hating calling payola/bots then it ruins it. Which is exactly what happens
Criticism has its time, not on every single thread.
For ILLIT, it's legitimately the exact same users I saw and still see shading NewJeans and Hype girl groups in general in every single thread about their accomplishments, when they don't make their own threads to hate them.
For Babymonster, yeah it's gotten stale to see so many threads about the same complaints. My latest thread was really just meant to acknowledge that Like That is great song and should've been their promoted title track or a double title track.
Honestly, it's not even just AKP. Take a break from here if you want, but I read even worse on reddit (god forbid twitter), and it's not even getting downvoted.
If I were a hardcore stan of either group, I'd just stick to discord at this point, because the negativity and hate is over the top, and no matter how strong your mentality is, it is draining to deal with on a daily, constant basis when you just want to enjoy a group and its music.

This is what I mean, im not really active here, i am on reddit & twitter but it was too much AND here, its the same. To make a thread criticising is normal. But for them to go every single thread for MORE than 10 days ruining the joy for everybody is not and its no longer criticism its hate
people have every right to criticize and have an opinion but some of this is toxic. People don't need to spam their negativity in every single positive thread about them.
Kpop seemed to quiet down just slightly after all the crazy 3rd gen fanwars, but now the fanwars are going nuts again
Fanwars can be handled, its the full out hate that i cannot. Like ILLIT and BM are receiving that from literally every fandom available its not centered to one! 😭
So this is just my read on everything I've read and watched regarding Baemon's debut and now subsequent comeback:
YG had the perfect opportunity to zag, when everyone expected them to zig, but they wasted it by deciding to zig as expected.
Basically, when there was still immense interest and excitement over what the next YG girl group, Babymonster, would bring to the K-Pop soundscape, a lot of people were expecting YG to give them essentially a BP song but hoping it would be something different and outside their expectations.
But that's exactly what he did, and a lot of people, myself included, were disappointed. And these were sentiments I saw expressed by Korean netizens in translated articles, and their charting there reflects that.
Babymonster ARE talented, and Ahyeon in particular blew me away. To me, songs like Like That suit them so much better than forcing girl crush down our throats for another generation, and it's so different from what BP put out as well.
I'm just a consumer with an opinion at the end of the day, not a company executive, but I can't help but feel it was such a misstep.

I do agree that they need that extra special thing to really shine, YG did miss to add that.
You know that most listeners listen to Spotify because of the playlists that the company makes. And imagine, people play sports, drive a car, work, or do something else, they don’t always switch tracks, thanks to this illit has such high rates, they just shove them into every playlist and it can work not for a week, but for months, just listening to this track in the background without attaching any meaning to it. So this is complete nonsense what you write.
Play list reach for them at debut days were the same as BM. But they moved up and BM moved down. It depends on the song.
I am not saying hybe is not promoting, they absolutely are, but if its a not liked song it will not rise to this level.
Everybody liked Smart more, but it is not Lesserafim concept, Easy is. So what Source did is the best, week later nad they started to promote Smart. While keeping their image!
I couldn't disagree more. The target image was poorly conceived, and the ramifications of that poor choice is that Korea isn't interested in listening to their music at all, because it's a dish they've been served before, and they're ready to sample something else from the menu. But YG insists on serving them the same platter over and over.
That's the issue here. There is absolutely nothing whatsoever that would distinguish Sheesh from any other song in BlackPink's catalogue, and that was absolutely not the case when BP debuted. Whistle and Boombayah did not sound like a song I'd expect from 2NE1's discography.
Like That should've at least been pushed as a double title track and heavily promoted, to show off Babymonster's talents in a way that isn't immediately overshadowed by and compared to their predecessors. That's just howI feel at least.
Look, as a fan of the girls, I do want an image for them that is more vocal focused since 7/7 can really sing.
However, GC sound if done right is good, and would be expected (and very much liked) only from YG. I DO agree that they need to distinguish more from BP, like instead of empty choruses focus on vocal choruses, but not to abandon Girl Crush, as the girls really suit it.
And girl crush does not need to be rap focused like BPs. Shooting Star type of concept or Shut Down type would be best, Girl Crush with focus on vocal.
I do agree on the double title, thats what I said that I wish YG would adopt fromBP as they did double titles or if not a second title a heavily pushed b side from Day 1 (forever young, pretty savage, etc)
Like That is soooooo good, but would be away froma GC concept, thats why its better as a 2nd title/pushed b side.
This is what a fan (like me) would want, as opposed to a casual listener like you would want from the girls.
NO company ever can push a song to reach 4 million streams. At best they can push it with Payola with extra 600k, and mind you, they are still not in TTH.
Yes, they started with a privilege as literally everyone one and their mother checked them at debut since HYBE promoted them alot, and HYBE promoted on spotify, but they are playing the fair game but because the song is GOOD and catchy, they managed to increase.
If people did not like the song it would have fallen after 2/3 days but its now day 10? And they are still growing their streams.
