Red Velvet is still exists, regardless of whether you like any other their post 2018 work. The survival of the other SM groups she worked on didn't end up depending on her continued involvement either. Thinking New Jeans would survive without her just like everyone else in the industry survives without her is hardly delusional.

Giving credit where credit is due is not Hybe giving up their sub label for no particular reason. It'd be great to see a great director go independent but she only owns 18% of ADOR, the move has to make sense to the people that own the other 82% too. And if it doesn't, that's their prerogative.

NJ didn't follow her to Ador, these girls auditioned to be in Big Hit/Hybe, BTS's company and were then given to MHJ. The reasons why someone would want to be in BTS's company instead of elsewhere have not disappeared.

MHJ contributed more. Past tense, today, Hybe is perfectly capable of copying her successfully enough with Illit and can do the same with a MHJless New Jeans, they lose a lot creatively but in terms of monetary value the loss is much more nebulous. Ador fully independent from Hybe's brand which still includes BTS I cannot say the same about. They'd lose a lot there. Can't imagine shareholders siding with MHJ over Hybe even if the audit comes up with literally nothing at all.

Even a dumbo like me could figure out from a mile away this would turn into a disaster without a backtrack but they were putting their head in the sand and failed to see the obvious

aespa did the same thing, SM chose that venue to prove themselves after making aespa lipsynch absolutely everywhere else. the false discourse of Coachella being hyped up to be this Mecca of vocal excellence of the highest fidelity sadly seems to reach kpop execs.

There's not enough real pushback against media trying to pass it off as 5th gen like there was when they tried passng off NewJeans as 5th gen and because NewJeans/IVE/Gidle as 4th gen groups are so dominant, these group actually need the distinctions to have any achievements to write articles about, so it's effectively 5th gen.

Singing without any accent and talking English fluently are two different things, XG only sings in English, only Maya really speaks good English.
