While major of songs won SOTY are in top 10 YEC, only Growl, SD and Dynamite are not in top 10. However, Growl were granted national hit right/ a big hit already in 2013 and Dynamite were breaking a lot of records at the time, it only left SD wasn’t a big hit AT THE RELEASED TIME despite winning the award. I understand that SD is a big hit but that’s only defined due to its longevity, which is quite subjective at the release time. I would consider Through the night / Really Really as SOTY for 2017 as they are both bigger hits in term of performance in 2017, however, SD won it. So NL as a viral hit, will breaking record of the most week in top 10 for 2021 release, will end up in top 10 MELON YEC, chance of getting MMA SOTY is very good.

I would have postponed the release a couple weeks later to come out in early September. The song even gives off a rainy melancholy September vibe and definitely not a summery August vibe. Plus there would have been less competition on the charts. Basically everyone and their mother made a comeback in August because they couldn't during the olympics.

And instead of making it a non-promoted song I would have promoted it. Choreography doesn't need to be anything crazy too, since it's almost ballad-like.

I feel the timing does not right. Summer is still there. I saw the songs rise amazingly on Vibe but Vibe chart is the weirdest chart ever as the song dropping on all the chart. But the song vibe is very good.

After police started investigations and detained Wu for suspected rape, some fans continued to blindly defend him, even saying they would risk breaking into jail to rescue Wu.

A viral screenshot showed an alleged fan of Wu stating, 'there are only about 2 million People's Liberation Army soldiers and about 2.5 million policemen in China, but Wu has 50 million followers on Weibo, we certainly could rescue him out of jail.'

Wu was involved in a sexual scandal a few years ago, but a fan of Wu with the web name of 'Righteousness' always believed that the disputes were out of a romantic relationship. The fan told the Global Times that her nine-year affection for the idol, and the time, money and emotions spent on him suddenly became a joke after Wu was proven to be a suspected criminal.

Another fan of Wu said, 'I didn't believe it and thought he was framed until he was sent to prison. Now I feel disgusted.'

Fans groups were such an enclosed circle that any doubts or different views about the idol are not permitted. Young fans receive a single narrative and believe their idol is perfect, hence dedicating their time and money to defend 'the perfection.'"
