I don’t think their fan base that huge, they have a strong GP support, even more than BTS and on pair with IU. TOP drug scandal could not stop them to reach highest 24hr uls when Flower road released in 2018.

I realise Many people underestimated BB a lot. Remember even before Burning Sun, BB had many scandals and they still comeback successfully. In 2017, TOP drug scandal happened but their digital single in 2018 got PAK, hit no1 every chart. They are test of time. Their new songs will get hit uls and perform well with promotion. GP cared about music, not about BB personal life, which is very different from other IDOL groups, including BTS.

I would agree on this. RV digital is hit and miss during their whole career. So there is no guarantee

I did not, but after considering the initial success of Butter, I thought it would be in top 10 for 15-16 weeks but it is not possible now.

Butter is about to lose more uls and drop to No.9 this week. Justin Bieber, Somi is about to enter top 10 next week. BTS longevity in top 10 Melon is not that great compared to Dynamite.

But overall, i think peaks are just as important as longevity. If you only care about longevity, that means a song can be considered a "national hit" even if it only has 80k fans streaming it as long as those fans keep streaming that song for their whole life. That's not GP popularity. You need big peaks and good longevity to be a national hit like BWL and Dyna.

Everyday, every moment, the biggest kpop song on Gaon, biggest kpop song in history, never ever hit No.1 Goan or Melon. It is by far the one of the national hits. SD is a song being loved. As BTS getting bigger, the song is heard more by GP and end up being a GP favourite. 7.2 M Uls is a standard of national hit . Nothing to argue here.

Why Enhypen is leading in Spotify but fall so hard in YouTube? I expect the number should be not too much different. I mean they have a decent number of Spotify stream but YouTube view just seem very off for a big group

This comeback is not improving at all. I just feel like Bighit put them in the wrong direction now. They should have gave TXT a very good songs when they debuted, the hype was so huge when they debuted but now, it’s just going so slow.

I have been mentioning since the day 1 that this chart is the best chart Melon can produce, giving more movement and exposure for other groups/ artists. This chart is an upgrade version of original Melon chart, which was used for more than 15 years. It benefits everyone but some GG stans quite shady somehow.

The problem is that people care more about the realtime than about the daily. It should be the opposite.

But Melon chart was all about Real-time. All Kill / PAK back in the day still used real-time. 24hits just happened in more than a year, does not erase the 15 years old chart
