I would agree if we were in 2nd gen but just with their current exposure on K-pop platforms, they’ve secured themselves a pretty nice size fanbase. A loyal one at that since they get bullied so much by Koreans.

Their fans actually show up to see them. So even though they’re not K-pop, most people would consider XG K-pop so they’re pulling from the same fan pool.

I’ve also seen their fans complain that their albums were sold out and that they we’re waiting for restock. XG has a very passionate fan base from what I’ve observed.

The lyrics are kinda cringe but the music video is absolutely stunning. It helps to block out the lyrics.

honestly I have never seen K-pop groups as big as BTS, black pink and twice and I’ve been a fan since 2nd gen. Big bang and SNSD were huge in Asia but I don’t remember them having as much clout globally as BTS & black pink.

The funny thing is no one predicted BTS to become bigger than EXO. Nor black pink being bigger than twice, however twice is still bigger than 99% of K-pop groups.

What I’m saying is, there were a lot of K-pop groups that had their moments of being hot and everyone thought they’d be global only for another group to snatch that title. You really can’t tell. Like everyone thinks it’s IVE vs NJ right now, but in 3 year GIDLE is the biggest group globally among 4th gen. I’ve seen this play out so many time.

Right now I can’t exactly tell who will be on BTS & blackpinks level. Maybe New jeans and stray kids for right now.

Sis is coming. But this wasn’t supposed to happen according to last months “popular predictions”, LSFM was supposed fly out of the top 10 by now, “leaving competition only between I AM, Queencard and SPICY.” Lol

ITZY was falling off way before LSFM was a thing. AESPA stole their spotlight originally and then they just kept getting buried by new girl groups. Personally for me, ITZY’s music was never good, only dalla dalla. I also remember them being big when there wasn’t any competition within 4th gen. I think that’s why JYP slacked so much with their music, no real competition at the time.

Luckily, LSFM’s deep in competition so any achievements they make comes from people actually tuning into them and not because there’s nothing else to listen to. There are so many good girl groups out, options are endless and when something new comes along, a lot of fans jump ship.

Anyway, the two groups are nothing alike. Both are good performers but that’s it, their vocals and music don’t even have resemblance.

Idk any current songs that sounds like BEG Abracadabra.

I knew this song was gonna fly up the charts. It was going viral just off of the highlight melody and people were already making TikTok’s just from the little clip.

I would not be surprised if it overtakes Unforgiven’s at #4. Hopefully it shows source to please pick more songs that represent the girls better, EVE screams LSFM, Unforgiven to me screamed them trying to be something “else”

I listen to EVE ever morning before work and it gives me this insane boost of energy like I’m the baddest B getting ready to take over the world. It is such a magical song, it’s like a drug.

I wouldn’t be surprised if it sustains itself and actually takes Number 1 at some point, mark my words.

They’re underrated because they’ve never had a PAK /national hit. Yet can have a title and a b-side in the top 10 all charts plus 1.5m albums sold.

My original statement was comparing it's promotion period to Unforgiven.

Compared to Unforgiven, it's like there was barely any promotion, look at the music video views compared to Unforgiven. You seem to forget the original point of the thread, I'm not talking about compared to other big groups.

I'm talking about compared to Unforgiven. Which the promotional period wasn't even close yet it still shot up to top 10 melon and passed Unforgiven on bugs.

Can you prove that it had the same promotion as Unforgiven?

Full promo Would be 3-4 weeks. They only performed it on 3 music shows.

Yes it is. It didn’t have any promotion other than a music video with no ads and after 11 days it already shot up to top 10 melon and outcharted Unforgiven on bugs.
