Did they really lost the KPop or is it just cause of Produce 101?

  • I just noticed after going on Twitter that more Japanese acts are going to join Kcon

First there was just JO1, later other Japanese artists as like OWV and BXW were joining the line up. Later on INI joined and now ENJIN and OCTPATH are joining.

You notice a pattern here if you closly follow Produce 101 -> All artists have member who apeared on season 1 and 2 of Produce 101 Japan.

Is this just an addition because everyone apeared on Produce or is Kcon slowly switching from KPop to JPop? But than again, if they would switch to JPop or at least regularly want to ad JPop, than why do they not ad other Japanese artists who are not affiliated with Produce?

  • Kcon isn’t just about groups from Korea, it’s about Korean culture and influence

These Japanese groups with Kpop group formats are still part of the Korean influence, therefore there’s absolutely no issue with them going to Kcon

That’s like questioning why BTS would go to the AMAs or something when they’re not American lol
