I don't know, but I listen to whatever I enjoy regardless of popularity.
I listen to a lot of them too. I never ask people not too. I have lots of nugu songs in my playlists but I don't stan them, that's where I draw the line. That's it.

I love my nugu groups, sure some disband out of no where and i'm sad especially when they had great music MVP, TARGET, ARGON I'M LOOKIN AT YOU
but for the most part, i enjoy my nugu's. yes d-crunch's company is a piece of shit and fucked the group up twice, but i still love them.
Stan my nugus
Most popular groups have 7 years contract and obviously they will not disband before their contract end unless something happen. And nugu groups can possibly release only one songs and gone.
But there's always a chance for nugu groups to stay til 7 years. Take a look at B.I.G, they stuck around for a while. Sure, nugus don't last long but that's not their intention, it's better to support groups you like, no matter what popularity they have.
Plus, people stan groups with one song??? Why????
Edit: If don't like a group's members I understand that lmao
In seriousness it does svck in many ways.
They don't get invited to TV shows, so the only way to see content from them is YouTube and many times they do not have English subs.
There are some nugus I like and while it would suck if they disband, I'm okay with enjoying their work while they're here.
good for you
Honestly same. Being a casual fan is fine but stanning a nugu group is just too emotionally taxing. You never know if their next comeback will be their last and seeing them struggle, barely getting any promotion and content, with the things they do get always being so-so compared to bigger groups, I've come to the conclusion that I very rarely find it worth it. Kpop is supposed to be fun and being constantly worried that they'll disband isn't fun.
Yeah, this is sort of sad...and honestly, to have a KPOP group is pretty costly with all the expenses. I think it's not always nugu groups, you sometimes have to worry about the smaller companies too. Like a group can be big but when the company is struggling financially, it could be all over. Loona for instance, their company BBC is or was having problems financially and Loona hasn't had a promoted comeback since PTT (by promoted, I mean going on music shows) which was released more than 8 months ago.
I love nugus. It's really not as emotionally taxing as big groups. The big groups I stan get so much hate on a daily basis I'd rather go to my nugu faves with like five fans and talk to them about how good our nugu fave's music is
