It was risky and experimental much like savage and NL and it was meant to be that way to showcase that that’s what Aespa was gonna be about.

Black Mamba is so iconic and I'm happy it's getting the love it always deserved

Idk about the reception but it sure made me remember aespa whenever I see avatarish, fairylike, and purple futuristic aesthetics. Plus it was their best choreo so I was impressed with the dance. While the song didn't showcase their vocals much but later it made me appreciate hidden points like Ningning high note, Giselle's adlibs and Karina's tone. I appreciate it every time someone covered her parts (not saying covers weren't good but Karina sure fit it the most). Overall it was a great introduction to the group for me.

Considering that SM groups never debut with a bang and killer megahit song like YG groups do, it was ok as an introduction to Aespa, their aevatar concept and the styles they venture into.
