yeah i guess you would call a political show...some people like historical dramas others not so much...
it basically has no popular actors (at least in terms of youth popular culture actors/actresses - would you call them idol actors???) but the actors they do have are all top notch...even the supporting cast

I’m a chronic starter and stopper because I start something then go looking for something else. So I feel like I saw 3 or 4 episodes before bailing, like “oh man we’re gonna have all these little kid flashbacks and I just don’t care” Or “this girl is too silly and I can’t.” Or Netflix tells me to try this and I think “oh this is good,” then start and realize it’s 70 episodes again.
I really liked Rise of the Phoenixes most recently - I love epic historical machinations in any language. I also enjoy some well executed wuxia - am currently watching Handsome Siblings. I loved Kingdom but have struck out trying to find anything like it (please give me the few hours of my life back from watching King The Eternal Monarch, which Netflix lied to me about.)

True Beauty was on the bailout list for me. I think I need to just know when I see Cha Eun-woo to just click the hell out of a show.

I know what you mean. I can't tell if he got better at acting because his character is the typical good looking guy that is cold and is the smartest one.
I'm more invested in the second lead because his character has more personality and chemistry with the female lead.
I think it's a good light hearted comedy if you want to just chill from the heavier type of dramas.

But 2nd ml and fl look interesting? Still not worth watching?

It is also on my to watch list, it look like that kind of show that gets better with each new season.

Oh that said everything :-D

I was surprised because it's genuinely so funny without being cringey and I love the chaotic energy Shin Hye Sun's acting is another level, she actually starred in the first season of my fav kdrama (Stranger) and I did not recognize her AT ALL. I'm holding back on giving a definite rating though cause I've seen some negative comments about the finale but I didn't want to be spoiled so I didn't read them I'm on episode 12 rn.
Any of you watched Mr queen? It is my next tv show to watch!
The first episode did not convince me all that much but once they focused entirely on the Joseon era I was sold!

I spoiled ending and I think it is good.
I spoil endings because animes, Scarlet heart and Chinese dramas literally traumatized me.

I'll admit that I've never watched anime or cdramas so nothing has traumatized me this much yet

I started to watch rise of phonenixes but it was so slow I skipped a lot
I think you will like story of ming lan
The plot is good and the characters are realistic and reasonable
-
I finished Begin Again recently. A lighthearted, cute second chance type of drama with a bit of angst.
Although there were parts that didn't make sense at all the characters are lovable. Strong, smart, bold female lead and nice, caring, too good to be real male lead
It has been long time since I watched a drama without skipping episodes

Did anyone watch the untamed? I am contemplating whether to watch it or read the translation of the novel instead

offensivegood old humor my recommendations -

Historical ones... almost all of them
There was also this one which frustrated me to tears and had sad ending which should be interpreted as happy ending but I am not having it. Moonshine and Valentine. The nams says it all, I should have stayed away but good fmv can do wonders
