Seems like SM bought a poorly made building. If it's shaking so much it's probably got crap foundations or support.

Years ago one of my friends and his family had to temporarily move out his council flat because it turned out the building was sinking in one side and that was causing many residents to see cracked walls, random rumbling at night and general creaking. It was better to move everyone out and demolish it rather than risk people's lives plus trying to renovate a really old and worn down building wasnt worth the time and cost. At least he got a new house so that was great for him lol.
