Do you prefer "softer" music or "harder-hitting" music?

  • Hard-hitting.

Do you prefer rap that is more like singing or more aggressive "spitting" rap?

I don't consider Mark's rap aggressive. He has a very good flow and he's just very talented. :/

How do you feel about "noisy" music?

    Well... :pepe-peek:

Does your preference change if the song is from a bg or gg?

As long as the song hits hard Idc. But in Kpop, bg music tends to be more like that.

  • i love hard hitting songs in the electronic spectrum, an example would be obsession or pursuit by gesaffelstein.

i think in that vein are my really favorite sounds, i also really enjoy listening to music with sirens .

i hate any kind of rap, it doesn't matter what kind, i only listen to rap songs if i am really in love with the beat of it. noise ye i stan 127 and superm and aespa.

i do enjoy like really girly soft pop music like april, or oh my girl and other girl groups in the cute vein. but like ballads and slow songs in general don't do anything for me im def here more for the experimental hard hitting stuff. girly kpop can also be hard hitting for me....like iois very very very.

i wouldn't really wanna limit boys or girls to certain styles of music, both could do anything.

    (im a female).

  • 1. I don't necessarily have a preference, I just want music I like. Among both "hard hitting" and "soft" songs there are ones I find lazy/boring/unpleasant, and ones I really love. Maybe I have a very slight bias for songs with more energy but it's not like I don't also adore a lot of softer songs equally. As for the rap question, I just want it to flow well and not sound awkward or give me the feeling it was put into the song because the producers didn't have better ideas, but add something to the song.

Regardless of style I tend value complexity, unusual elements, or strong characteristics that stand out positively.

    2. I don't think my preference changes a lot depending on if it's a bg or gg.

  • I guess I should answer my own questions.

I guess I prefer my raps medium for the most part. I want them to sound like rap instead of talk-singing (unless it's a soft song that calls for it) but I don't like "spitting" that is not melodic and just sounds aggressive.

I do like a heavier beat and prefer more hip hop based songs or rnb based songs over pop songs.

  • good production is all that matters to me. sometimes hard hitting songs can be "too much" and sound horrible, whereas softer songs can be "too little" and boring, it's all about balance

  • Both,I can't have one without the other.

When I'm listening to music I tend to start with really energetic songs, and then I gradually move on to softer stuff. It feels like a pleasant breeze after all the hard-hitting stuff.

  • different types of music for different moods

but my go to favs are music like these

  • Majority of the time I prefer softer pop/ r&b influences, but it really depends on the mood I’m in. I like hip hop and hard rock but I need to be in a certain mood to listen to it. Same with rap or “noise” music. Like rap, there are times when I like that it’s aggressive but mostly I kinda like when it’s more singing I guess.

My preference doesn’t change if it’s a bg or gg

    (I’m a girl)

  • I lean more hard hitting. I love a good noisy bop. I do enjoy softer pop leaning songs too though. I don't really have a preference when it comes to rap. I enjoy rappers with a hard/fast flow and a soft/slow flow. As long as it suit the song.

Like I love both of these songs dearly and in fact these are probably my two two favorite groups.

I don't have different feelings about it when it comes to girl groups or boy groups. I also love both of these songs.

In general what I listen to would fall into hard hitting music more than soft regardless of boy/girl group.

I'm of the lady persuasion. :pepe-flirt:

  • Like maybe a more pop or rnb influence vs a hip hop or harder rock influence. What about the rap in songs? Do you prefer rap that is more like singing or more aggressive "spitting" rap? How do you feel about "noisy" music?

I tend to like more RnB influenced songs but I am a huge rock and hip hop fan also well. RnB though

Does your preference change if the song is from a bg or gg?

    No

Lastly, are you a guy or a girl?

    idek

  • I like both but I think I prefer softer music a bit more, especially for girlgroups. I usually don't like big rap parts in songs, except when the rapline is good (bts). And I don't like noise music, there's only a few exceptions on songs that are noisy but that I still like.

    I'm a girl btw

  • . . . I like more hard-hitting songs since it's more of my style

and the preference is mostly bgs since they sound a lot better then ggs

//one of my favorites hard hitting for sure 2x
