the gifs in the articles are little hard to watch... they tied a wire to the horses leg so that it would fall upon running full speed. The force and pull of it must have been so painful, the momentum literally had that horse somersault onto it's back...

Animal cruelty at its finest. Even if it survived it would not be the same animal. horses don't forget. it's 2022, there's various ways to depict a rider falling from a horse without killing an animal. This drama deserves to be hated. Even if it he didn't break his neck, he surely would have broken a leg, a horse doesn't always recover from broken legs, they are big animal's dependent on all 4 legs. how stupid can a person be? I hope there's justice for that poor creature who didn't deserve this. Who in their right mind would force an animal to fall like that? You have to be completely stupid. There's been many major motion pictures involving horses and falling that never resulted in a horse getting seriously injured/dying. There's no excuse for this. That horse is CLEARLY in pain in that Instagram video. CLEARLY in pain. As someone who's loved horses most my life, this hurts so bad. It brings tears to my eyes. there's no way he died later, he's motionless and fell pretty hard on his neck and his leg looked broken. i saw the stuff that was on instagram and as a horse lover i can tell he was dead. even if he's still alive there was no way they were getting that horse up.

poor thing, the horse most likely died on impact. Atleast it had a quick death but the pain probably overpowers dying a quick death.

definitely someone brainless. I really really hope they get punished, even the owner, clearly they didnt' care enough about their animal to allow this to even happen. i don't blame the actors, but i think the stunt double should have used his brain and realized this wasn't a good thing.

WTF!? That's egregious and disgusting!? How do they expect a 900 lb animal to just get up and be okay after that?! If a 900 lb human ran at full speed and, somersaulted, and literally had their whole body weight come crashing down AFTER having their legs wrenched from under them forcibly to create that momentum, would they just get up and be okay?! Are horses superhuman!?
And, the stuntman was even hurt. Notice all the PDs ran to him. No one cared about the poor horse.
They can be held very liable even criminally not just for the horse but mainly for the stunt actor. He was seriously injured during this. I'm sure what he signed up for didn't involve this. He may not have understood how serious this scene would be. You are on a horse a horse can run at about 45mph that's like sitting on the roof of a car and it crashes you are launched off it and hit the ground at 45mph with no airbags you will sustain serious injuries if not killed by it
As a horseman I am absolutely mortified that someone would even do this. Horses are so easy to train and would do anything for you if you treat them well and there are so many safe ways to film that scene. Everyone involved needs to face legal punishment and be blacklisted from the industry. Nobody involved should be let near animals again either
In this day and age, they still use real horses to do a stunts like this? This could have been achieved by CGI, or some camera trick. This is unforgivable. The ones responsible for this should get sued for animal abuse !!!
The stunt double seems injured too, definitely not something he expected to happen.
