LSG is still really successful and I love the song, but tbh I listen to How you like that much more

Lsg is not rejected, hylt just appeal to a wider range of people it's not that hard to grasp. Lsg is still bigger than songs by every other gg out there lol

Just bc it’s different doesn’t mean it’s automatically better. There’s no correlation lol. It’s perfectly valid to criticise a string of songs for being too similar and also criticise another song that sounds different but also still isn’t good. Not saying that’s the case here bc everyone has their own taste but just saying your logic doesn’t really make sense lol

I prefer Lovesick Girls over HYLT, but I've never complained about BP's music direction. Both are bops regardless!

usually its non fans complaining of their girl crush sound. since they are nonfans they arent gonna stream the comebacks that they actually like. while most blinks dont actually have a problem with their current sound and will just stream (especially since hylt went so viral compared to lsg)
but even then, just cause its different doesnt mean its good.

Most GG's and some BG's would love it if their comebacks had the same level of "rejection" as LSG

Eh, I wouldn't take the spotify order as much of an indication, they have a pretty weird algorithm which is not even explained. Boombayah is above kill this love despite getting a lot less streams.

I think it’s getting more streams day over day. That’s what the ranking means.
It’s an algorithm that considers recency and total streams and I think it’s pretty valid.

I would guess the sorting has some unique listener metric similar to melon too and that's what makes boombayah rank so highly in recent times, cause as I said ktl gets like 50% more streams (or around 4m more over 1 month). Likewise, the only bp songs getting more streams than lsg are hylt, ktl & d4

Yeah so I always felt it was a very valid metric. LSG is getting around 290k streams day over day while boombayah gets 241k being a much older song. It just normalizes recency and day over day streams I think.
