I thought this the other day if kpop banned lip syncing Jyp groups would suffer the most I mean despite people trolling sm Red velvet Nct and aespa can actually sing very well but twice ( with the exception of 3) itzy and stray kids (with the exception of 1) can’t sing live so imagine when dancing

not all JYP's GGs are bad though, Miss A were decent. But i think WG was the worst. what makes it specially bad is JYP's line distribution where they make sure everyone gets equal line, so members that can't sing at all (looking at you Sohee) ends up getting as much line as very fine vocalists such as Sunye and Yeeun and the result is very regrettable.
that's not true at all. only SM groups are unarguably better than JYP's but the same can't be said about all of HYBE's and YG's groups, i wouldn't says groups like TXT, Enhypen and iKON are necessarily better than 2PM and GOT7. Heck not even Big Bang and BTS are necessarily better. maybe YG's ggs have an edge over jyp's but that's about it.

no shade intended but Lia strain 98% of the time when she try to hit a high note, imagine JYP giving them songs harder to sing, it would be so hard for lia to reach the note without having her voice crack

ITZY and Stray Kids sing live frequently. If there are people saying they can't sing just for saying, you don't see a lot of people making fun of their actual lives.
Tbf, It's easier you see people dragging Red Velvet and aespa for their lack of living singing, despite their fans saying they are so good, while not offering anything else on the stage. Not saying that I agree or not, but It is what It is.

If they have trouble singing easy songs then that shows how terrible they are. There's no way a half decent group could mess up something like more and more or other Twice songs but here we are.

Can you really call it a good "performance" if they only dance and mime the actual singing? That's only doing half the work. That isn't a good performance at all. If I got half the questions right on an exam no one would be praise as a great student, just average.
Black pink aren't great singers or dancers but they can do both to a decent level. At concerts especially Coachella they showed that can perform well. SM ggs are famous for their singing and dancing: SNSD are still top tier, Red Velvet were good mostly and FX were good too in the beginning till everyone gave up on being an idol. Only aespa has been lipsyncing by at least we know they can actually sing better than any JYP gg.

At least their stage presence has improved, looking at itzy they might be lacking in vocals as every other jyp group but you can still enjoy their performance. Also i feel like the ngg is going to have good vocals as well as good performance so the jyp known for only having "good personality" idols and not actual talents is in the past.

That's them with singing without in ear monitors and they still manage to hit every note (except a couple missed beats here and there because they can't clearly hear music without monitors). Meanwhile Twice with monitors, no audience and zero pressure for encores still manage to suck.
I never said stage presence was just singing alone but you can't say a group has stage presence if theyre not actually singing. SNSD manage to sing fine without lip sync AND do choreography. That's actual stage presence, not pretending to sing.

Even if they're not technically the best, members like Yoona and Hyoyeon are more than capable and confident of singing their lines instead of grunting and barely able to raise their voice like Twice in their 4th, 5th years during encores.
They're even better when they did the dance which is still one of the hardest any gg have every performed. Hundreds of ggs including with years of experience have copied INTW and none have come close to the standard SNSD set as debut rookies. Why is that? If SNSD were weak in the beginning how come other ggs still struggle to match what a day 1 rookie group did?
So no it's "aLl BuT tAeYeOn WeRe BaD sInGeRs" or "ThEy GeT a FrEe PaSs". There's clear evidence to show they were good from beginning. I don't need to be ashamed when I talk about my ult group abilities because they were already good to start with. As the years went by SNSD have gotten even better to the point where any of the vocal line can easily compete for main singer position in 90% of ggs (and looking at how weak gg singers are these days I bet even Yuri it Sooyoung could at least try to compete) and the sub vocals/weakest singers sound ok, much more stable than most other groups.
Maybe the question is why you're trying to downplay SNSD when as day 1 rookies they were already as good as if not better than ggs like Twice currently well into their careers.

the worst part about Twice's singing is how members like Chaeyoung, Mina and Dahyun will barely whisper their lines into the mic so basically no sound comes not. not gonna lie, it's kind of hilarious how half of the song will be straight up empty during encores because the non-vocals members (sans Tzuyu) are too scared to make sound lmaoooo.

Not a hater , actually I believe they're the most iconic kpop gg. But there were many ggs back in the day who had better stage presence than them.
