Should every kpop fan know at least one song from every top group?

They only need to know Mariah Carey everyone else is not important

I mean no one is obliged to unless they're interested to check them out

i will be very specific because your title said kpop fan as oppose to merely being a fan of a certain group or groups....

for example lets say i like big3 GG but i'm not neccessarily a kpop fan so no i won't need to know at least one song

but if i said i was a kpop fan then yes i should know at least one song...

For the old times, I would say maybe. But nowadays there are too many groups.

Some people have a life and know how to balance it. It is not by force

But if you're in kpop forum, at least coincidentally you'll know one song from group like BTS, BP, Twice, EXO, SVT, NCT.

no? its not a criteria of a fan thats its mandatory to listen to the top groups. you only have to listen to what you want to listen to/are interested in.

if u dont kno songs from big groups, even if u dont kno older legendary status kpop songs & groups, u r not gonna fail the big kpop exam at the end of the year x.

Can you define "top?" Are we talking top 5, top 20? I believe the former would be reasonable, the latter not so much.

oppositely i tend to check nugu group's music a lot, there are some hidden gems in that haven't gotten the appreciation they have deserved
