itzy would be bigger in the west, though their songs would still be niche.
big difference bw a native speaker and one from study.
somi also identifies as dutch (and was on dutch tv shows), so she could have been a good magnet for european fans.
a more intrguing question would be had somi been in twice.
twice is finally doing well in the west (#2 on billboard 200), but they have no english speakers.
i think jyp probably lost out on $50m+ by not including her in twice.
they clearly learned their lesson and every new group has a fluent speaker now (niziu has 2).

They’d be less popular. Literally every single post-Pd101 girl group always flops because the extra idols are more for you to sign onto when you’re already in love with the one who came into the group from pd101. It’s a terrible strategy. Like ariana grande is famous, so if I put her in little mix you’ll lose more Ari fans than you’ll gain with little mix fans.

Did you lose your mind ?/??/?: lol they will lost- Twice are making at least 30M USD in a year even if somi debuted in twice it would not even change anything especially when somi doesn’t make 50M USD in a year

well for me is pretty much the contrary
when i was a kid nothing was a drama to me, life was just going on
meanwhile now i feel more like everything is a drama in life and much more cautiour about what i do and say to people, and if it would happen to me now i would be much more embarass for the entire day
