dawg some of these album sales are crazy like . . . how does I.O.I debut album only have around 80,000 total (Korean sales numbers ) (?) sales while Wanna One have around 1,000,000 ( Korean sales numbers ) sales like that so interesting to me , it maybe that Wanna One has a large fanbase maybe idk

I think Wanna one wasn't a million seller with an album, they reached a close amount but never 1M+ without repack and IOI did sell above 100k which was a great amount for a girlgroup back then. but yes,w1 was a group with crazy achievements and bgs usually sell way better not matter how small or big they are. For example momoland's juniors are already outselling them despite being very nugu

I don’t think W1 had 1M with a single album. If I remember correctly, the debut album sold 800k-900k overall, it was close to a million, but it didn’t end up hitting 1M. Pretty sure the 1.4M was from the debut album + repack. But, yes, Wanna One’s impact was insane.

actually I think boy groups sell a lot of physicals in general. even mid-tier bg can sell more than some top gg's.
on the flip side, ggs do very well with the general public and digitals.
