Can someone explain THE MAMA ALBUM OF THE YEAR NOMINATIONS?

    MAMA will nominate the first one of the two releases of the year or the best selling of the 2 albums by one act?.


    this is particularly about SEVENTEEN... ATTACCA is the best selling EP released this year but they nominated YOUR CHOICE, who has lower sales.


    ATTACCA was released on october 22.... and MAMA nominations were from OCT 31 2020 - OCT 31 2021.


    for example they nominated ENHYPEN DILEMA (12 OCTOBER) but not the one they released in April.

    Album criteria is also 20% digitals and i guess they think by nominating Your Choice that it would benefit them since they had more time to accumulate digitals compared Attacca which had like 8-10 days

    Do you know the sales of 'ATTACCA' till 31st October? 31st October is the last date of eligibility period.

    Were they more than 'Your Choice'?


    I am guessing the one which had more sales by the end of October got chosen as the representative album for the artist since they only nominate 1 album per artist.

    If I'm not wrong Enhypen's new album is selling more than the previous one.

    This might be the reason. I'm just speculating.

    Probably the difference in sales between Your Choice and Attacca is not so big to stand out from the Your Choice accumulated in the other criteria

    Maybe it's the time when released, they had to give nominations just starting November and maybe they were deciding just when the album released, Attaca really started to move huge numbers the week from 25 to 31 and Enhypen released preorder numbers so they had the reference numbers already by the middle of the month.

    it had surpasssed 1.7M on hanteo alone on Oct 29th

    their best selling (Your CHoice) is at 1.4M on gaon

    exactly what I said, Your Choice has the highest digital and streams accrual because it has more release time. In the case of ENHYPEN it can be said that they sell almost 1 million and they stand out much more when choosing between Carnival and Dilemma
