It's not about who's the first. Bighit is always into that alternative universe from the start is my point. They did it with BTS first and it worked well for them so they extended it to other acts.

I don’t know if they were the first but alternative fictional universes and lore and story behind comebacks was certainly popularized by them.

All hybe groups have a universe. I don't think it's unique to hybe or SM. Even SM group exo had this lore/universe thing before aespa. With aespa and some SM groups they just name drop their lore. Hybe groups don't do that I guess.

This is why the op should not make this thread without posting information. Read my post. I believe hybe is also want to create a similar idea with web toon, web comics, animation and avatar that can interact with fans. SM calls it CAWMAN.

Note: i don't believe it's a copy. Bang PD also has something difference like NFT.
