All I have is Netflix. I also have HBO Max because it is free with my internet package but I don't use it.
I've cut down to just Netflix and Prime which comes with my cell phone plan. I've only used Prime for anime so far.

The answer is yes to all of it.
Have you never saw something randomly on youtube or TV and thena ll the sudden become interested? TV, advertising, etc. I'm sure people do, otherwise they wouldn't pay millions every year doing it.
Take for example, Twice's video on Fallon has 5.8M views in a week. Jimmy fallon has 28.5M subscribers.
Even with a very conservative number like a 1% conversion rate, thats 60k new fans.
No matter how you look at it, it can't hurt to do it.
It gives them exposure but tbh us variety shows are not a thing anymore ratings keep dropping unless you perform on year end shows it will not boost your sales
Don't the American TV programs gain more views from them through Kpop fans and stans watching thier performances? A win-win for both the idols and TV program? idk
1. it's exposure to a target that maybe doesn't normally consume kpop
2. it's still more promotion regardless i mean if a group is going to promote then it's just another form of promotion
3. whether it actually works? well advertising gurus have been working on that answer for decades
Back then it used to help, I remember it helped BP to certain degrees back in early 2019
