Why no one is creating co-ed groups with 10-12 members?

  • And I'm not talking here about projects

wouldn't this bring something amazing to whole industry?

and some kids would realize that girls and boys can be friends?

they would just live in separate dorms

other than that they would have all activities together

:sana2: Idk what to think of this, cause like I did not realize it had not been done yet

  • It already happened, and it was a mess. But it's MBK so not surprising. Listen to these bops! :pepeflushed:

  • There’s no demand for co-ed groups. Kard got a bit of hype internationally at the beginning but even them ended up flopping after the initial hype wore off.

  • Was it really a "mess"? don't remebmer much news about them at the time only the music.

  • Co-ed groups usually flop and are more likely to cause scandals

    Coed School deserved better tbh

  • When they separated into 2 groups, 5dolls served bops too (don't know much about boygroups). It's really sad that Coed School or Five Dolls never hit big

Yeah, 5Dolls really had something going with their songs.

But I think it's safe to say both groups had moderate success, and ahead of their time. :pepecute:

  • It's already been done, and it didn't go well for them. (See the Co-Ed School links above.)

The fact that KARD has as much attention as they do -- arguably being the most successful co-ed idol group ever -- is unexpected. There have been many attempts to do the same, even by big powerhouses like SM's subsidiary trying out Play the Siren and SM having Luna feature on their debut song to try to help it succeed.

The kpop fandom just has next to no interest in co-ed groups.

Not really detailed, but you'll get the gist.
