I don't understand this logic people have about "achievements" and totally think: "oh, if this fan is bragging about their faves achievements then they must hate their songs" when in reality it's just being proud of the achievements.
I'm here for the music, but I'm here too for being happy seeing my girls breaking, creating records and being used as an example of TOP KPOP ACT WW!!
Anyways, nobody stays bc of numbers if they can't connect with the idols and their songs.
I'd rather discography than achievements.
If It isn't charting, I don't even give a listen
For example, I only gave a chance to Stray Kids when they got #1 on Soribada with God's Menu
Discography. I couldn't care less about achievements, they're not important to me. I'd rather stan a group that had a career of good songs than how many weeks their song had been in the charts or how many awards they've won.
i feel like ive seen you post about how much time Next Level has been on charts tho

thats totally reasonable! if its not charting #1 on melon, it can't be good after all

Yes, that's only because I'm a new fan of them and am proud of what they've done so far but once they get a solid song history going I will be happpy. I'm not obsessed with that chart stuff or Youtube views. I just enjoy the music.
A group can have good discography but if their personalities/memes are drier than the sahara desert I'm not staning them.
I don't really care or pay attention to the details of achievements and numbers. But I do want my favs to do well in general. Specifically I want them to do well in Korea. I don't really care about and would actively wish them to focus less on Western achievement or success.
As for discography. I'm not really about entire discographies being amazing. And am not really one of those that drops that as a boast or draw.
For instance I probably only realistically listen to 10 or so songs of TWICE's entire discography on a regular basis. But those 10 are some of my favorites in kpop.
Ideally I'd like both of the above to happen. Korean success and songs I love.
But when it comes down to it I can't stan if I don't have some songs I fall in love with
