I personally never understood the point of "generations" in itself and I don't think that's something affecting itzy or any group debuting at the same time or after them. I think overall itzy are like the third biggest gg rn or tied with red velvet which I think is very good considering the ones in number 1 & 2 are genuinely walls in comparison.
Now considering a big % of people on this site seem to think korean charting is everything you have to take into count, then yes itzy have fallen flat lately, but their success has still been decent over there imo

People really need to leave ITZY alone. Some of you don’t realise that it’s never over for ggs until the gg is over, ggs can release hits 6 years into their career.
You talk like this yet after Blackpink and twice , they are the biggest girl group internationally, They have dd which was the best charting gg song of 2019. They have wannabe , a viral song in the Kpop scene, they got kpoppies breaking shoulders.
They can sell more than 300000 copies in just two years.of their career. Even when they are called flops in Korea , they were still voted the 3rd most anticipated 4th gen gg even two years after debut. They are also the most popular idols of the 4th gen in Japan . I don’t know what to tell you but ITZY is going down a successful group in History of Kpop without disbandment

Wonder girls, Miss A debuted in that amazing 2nd gen time(2007-2010). Twice debuted at an amazing time when 3rd gen groups were starting to dominate(2014-2016). But itzy was not able to do that.
