I had the displeasure of listening to recent BTS English songs, which brings me to a question

Butter is amazing, dynamite is radio play, ptd sucks, so I'll go with non-fan average

Butter is my favorite one so far. Dynamite is also good and PTD is mehh

I do agree that BTS sound are much more sophisticated than those 3 English songs but I come to appreciate how songs make me feel rather that trying to be “arty” or “music expert”.

The beauty of BTS is that they have songs to match your every mood - songs that make you wanna bawl your eyes out, songs that make you think about society, songs that make you self reflect, songs that just make you wanna dance!!

In a nutshell, I find all 3 English songs to be amazing because they just make me so happy! If you look at artistry or whatever, maybe it’s lacking compared to other BTS songs but I love it anyway.

I wonder why if someone doesn't like something they're automatically haters...

I'm a fan and I consider their english songs not as good as previous releases. BE was the salvation for me during this time.

PTD is just really at the bottom. It almost drags the average to bad Yes it's a nice, light fluffy message (like those generic Justin Timberlake songs) but musically speaking it's just eeeeeeeeeeeeh.

If it had been their first song I listened to, I'd continue hating boy groups and put them in the same category as 1D and the like. As in, music for the charts.

Luckily 7 years of work exist and I know they can do better. Let's see what 2022 will bring.

I've only listened to Butter. It was enjoyable. Now if the point is to compare with their previous discography, I can't say.

PTD>>butter>dynamite (extremely unpopular)

As a fan i do admit that bts have far better songs than these 3 but it does not make these songs objectively bad or anything.

these 3 are easy to listen and just makes me extremely happy and this feeling of happiness and enjoyment is what I will remember at the end.

I think the last BTS song I liked was Save Me.

But even though they are not my taste, their "recent" releases did what they had to do, be catchy generic pop songs. They were made for western radio play. That's how artists really get big, when people who are not fans start listening to your songs.

Obviously you don't have to like those songs but it's because your personal preferences and not because you are to young/old for it.

For me I like all 3 songs, they are a 'happy pill' for me. Do I think that they are th best in BTS discography? No. Doesn't change the fact that I vibe with all of them

Those 3 songs are being posted in my local suburbia mall down under.

Basically Butter is amazing lol, it puts most of BTS's discography to shame. Only a few songs can stand a chance against it.

PTD is like that for me too! I might listen to it if I see it but I won't go out for it (Probably because of Butter lol) but I still enjoy it.

It seems like we have similar taste. Except for dynamite though. Still holds a special place in my heart but Butter replaced it.
