People get offended over the dumbest shit. It's literally because he said the word Ramadan and nothing else. It's not because he made fun of the holiday or the people who celebrate it, because he didn't even do that. Any word that even remotely hints at anything to do with an ethnic or religious minority is deemed problematic. Give me a break. It's not a great joke, but people need to chill.

idols have to laugh at anything on these shows, even if it's unfunny or offensive. So don't blame aespa and drag them, they have to freaking laugh and look good for the cameras, the joke didn't make any sense, and these old men who need to retire keep trying to stay relevant by attempting to be funny, even though I have never laughed once at any of their jokes. The "joke" is that the Islamic calendar is different, the Gregorian calendar and it don’t match up exactly as the Islamic calendar relies on the moon. The lunar month moves forward by about 10 to 11 days each year. In 2030 Ramadan will fall both in January and again in December. So this comedian is making a joke that Ramadan will fall on the same day as Christmas, but in a ruder way which I found kinda strange. I 100% doubt they know such an obscure fact. I myself learned in a very rigorous history course. Also why?
I remember the scene and I remember I chuckled with them at the randomness of the joke too and I am a Muslim (there are jokes that Muslims don’t partake in if it offends religion but this isn’t it). It’s not really offensive to any religion. It means something like a Muslim and a Christian fell in love etc…

Help i'm a muslim and i don't understand what's offensive about this??? I bet the girls didn't really understand it too. And everyone laugh at everything the hosts said in variety show, idk what they're supposed to do other than give the obligatory response.
