    Japanese Media Reports Miyawaki Sakura Has Officially Signed A Contract With HYBE


    A Japanese media outlet has reported that Miyawaki Sakura has officially signed an exclusive contract with HYBE.


    According to an exclusive report from Japanese media outlet WoW Korea via Newsen, Miyawaki Sakura has signed a contract with HYBE. Based on the report, one of Miyawaki Sakura’s representatives also confirmed the signing.

    Earlier, it was reported that HYBE was attempting to recruit Miyawaki Sakura alongside fellow IZ*ONE member Kim Chaewon to join their company to lead their new upcoming girl group. HYBE at the time, HYBE simply stated that they had no comment. It was also reported back in March that Miyawaki Sakura would be joining HYBE and back then, they simply said nothing was decided.

    So the SOURCE GG is the GG with the SM executive, and is the one including the IZ*ONE members.


    I have little faith in the group for being anything other then a quick cash grab of former popularity. Iv yet to see former temp group members go on to other groups and make a difference.

    Ikr! Like I said earlier, the izone girls deserve more than a 2 year career. They worked hard all their lives and we don't get to decide when they should stop pursuing their dreams and whom they should sign with.

    Business is business after all and if there is demand on the market for IZ*ONE girls why not five them the job they are good at?


    We all know that IZ*ONE is only gg which managed to get 500k average sales with 3 albums in one year.


    HYBE is smart doing it, and I'm happy for girls.

    Honestly it's sad where kpop is the only place where singer have an expected expired date before their debut . Like 7 years,etc .

    And only some group manage to break that

    Also that ahjussi who started Parallel Universe Project is probably now crying somewhere in his house from happiness that he and all those kids which were ready to throw their money will now get some sort of continuation even if it will end as just two-three members starting in new gg

    this gg with the izone members will not be the same gg that has been promised to us lol. There will be 2 different groups

    As for Hybe and Sakura, just the way this whole thing went down with Izone about to be extended, then Msnake suddenly disbanding them, then PUP becoming a real thing with Msnake coming onboard, then Msnake once again suddenly announcing that reunion efforts have failed...anyone else get a sneaking suspicion that Hybe was always in the background pulling strings to disband Izone and squash the PUP project so they could grab the members they wanted?


    Chaewon, Sakura and Minju are not only the most popular among KWiz (along with Wonyoung) but they're also supposedly very popular amongst JWIZ.


    Maybe Hybe wants this group to be their hybrid Korean/Japanese group, to be promoted in both places equally.


    Frankly though, like i said before, HYBE needs to think real hard about mixing Izone members with rando trainees. KWIZ will support an all IZONE subunit, but i dunno if they will support a mixed group like this. Maybe the members have enough solo stans to overcome this obstacle, a problem that killed groups like Pristin, Weki, Gugudan, etc. But why take the risk? Wizones are a literal sure thing money pit.


    The safest and ideal solution is to pair up Sakura, Chaewon, Minju with other Izone members who are fully available and willing, creating a core Izone subunit. Personally i think at least 7 members fit this description. Then bring back the other members on a project basis subject to their availability (eg Yena, Nako, Hitomi).

    I seriously don’t care about what any labels are doing, so I don’t really understand your concern. As long as idols are able to work and get paid (and they chose labels, no one is holding a gun on their heads lol), I’m happy.


    If Hybe is not a good choice, I’m sure Sakura will say no. Stop looking down on girl idols, they are capable of thinking for their selves.
