Tbh i feel like she won. She started her solo career late and even with her one year hiatus she still charts on all charts, her yt views are great for a k soloist, her presence within kpop is still talked about. We just need an album to fully understand where she is standing and well, overall we just need to see what direction she will take. But for me she won.

DD is a prerelease for an album this year. That's why they are promoting DD way more than WYWF. With it looking like a potential hit, they will probably promote it even more than originally planned.

For the situation she is, she is doing great tbh. Her hiatus are worse than BP bc she has way less solo activities and when she cb it's always with just one single.

Soloist vs a group that is promoted quite alot , you should worry about the bully in your group and not Somi.

Killing, i really didn't understand what you said here... but you do have a point that it's already too long since IOI, but I think people still associate her with all the produce thing bc her solo activities are still "new".

Somi doing her thing. I think since she wasn’t a breakout soloist at first help alleviate the stress of always being the top. She looks happy just singing and performing

somi debut charting was just ok and her cmb last year was not good

Compared to how the most of I0I faired, I would say she was already least affected. I think Chungha just did so well that it was easier to see Somi as a flop comparison wise but the truth of the matter is that unlike other IOI members, Somi's always been in the media and been booked. Well, when I think about groups like Brave Girl's, I think for her it was just a matter of timing and getting the right sound.

I do agree she's doing great but it's funny how the hit standart changes. I also have nothing against her and I love the song, so all success deserved in my mind. She's going to get big for sure.
