Feels like whoever produced "Weekend" is inspired by "Say So". Gives off kinda the same vibe but "Weekend" is definitely the superior song for me.

I think I need to hear the song without Taeyeon singing because the singing part in my opinion is different from Doja. If the problem is the instrumentals, I think I just need to hear them on their own. My ears aren't good at separating parts of song like this from each other. There's been other cases like this where I just don't hear it...

Listening to them back and forth is kind of doing it though but I don't know if it's just because I'm trying so hard to hear it? Either way, I like both songs and even if they're kind of similar, I don't know if I would call it plagiarism. I guess if even Doja says something then I'll know

It's within the same genre but they are two different songs , people who say they plagiarized it are fools

Oh i don't think its plagiarism at all. The only kpop song i actually consider plagiarism is dun dun by everglow but i love that song anyway.

However its very similar, which is not a bad thing at all cause both still have their unique value. I love songs like that so its more of a win to me. Its clear the producers wanted something similar to say so though, and they succeeded.

Both are retro funky disco songs with airy vocals, so they do bear a resemblance. It's definitely inspired.

Same type of sound/genre which is obviously expected they would sound similar (same as how same concepts in kpop such as cute or guru crush have similar sounds even fun different groups) but as individual songs, no. They're pretty different from each other
