If you thought your fave's comeback was bad...

  • Would you still support it? Stream it? Would you ignore it? Could you openly criticize it around your fandom? Or would you feel like you couldn't give an honest opinion? Could you vote for "flop" in a poll if the participants were publicized? Would it make a difference if you thought it was a one-off occurence or if it seemed to be a overall change in musical direction?

  • i would have no issue with saying it was bad, for instance 127's latest song was basic and boringcompared to the rest of their discograpy and i have had no issue saying that to other nctzens,i also refuse to listen to several songs by nct 127 liker regular or whiplash cause i hate them .

  • Ignore it and be vocal about disliking only with my friends. Or when the comeback is older, since I won't be joining the hate train (Zimzalabim feelings)

  • I have zero problem with being honest. I think it’s unreasonable to expect to like everyone little thing an artist or group does.

But, there’s no need to be a d*ck about it, if you don’t like it. Plenty of other people will and the artist you claim to love is the most important out of them, so just listen to the stuff you love and wait to see if they release more things that you vibe with.

  • If I thought it was bad, I wouldn't listen to it. And I'd say I thought it was bad, which I have done.

If their music was going in the direction, then I can (and have) downgraded them from a group I stan to one I used to like. I'll still give their new songs a listen, if I'm in the mood to, but there's so much good music out there, that I'm not going to make myself spend my time listening to crap I don't like for no good reason. Like what? Someone on the internet may think I'm a bad fan? Okay then.

    let's be friends

I'm never gonna be afraid to say I don't like a song even if it's by my faves. I will still support them in their comeback and hope they do well even if I'm not feeling it because I stull love and support the group and it's members.

Even if it's a full on change in musical direction that's fine.. I'll probably keep checking out their music for a while just to see if I connect back to it, but eventually I'll probably part ways from their new music if I never do. I'll still love their previous work though.

  • I would be vocal bc i like to talk about my feelings :pepe-clown-gear: i would vote flop too and if my fandom try some weird guilt-tripping i would make a whole thread calling them out kkkkkk

I wouldn't stream tbh and just see the variety programs and live etc.

Oh, I like both of those lol. *long ass ride*....

so nctzens wouldn't give you flack for that?

  • I'm always open on what I think and feel able to express any view of my favs releases whether positive or negative.

Though I generally don't go looking to post negative criticism all that much. It's just not as fun for me.

I get satisfaction from being excited about stuff. That's what motivates me.

So if I'm not into a particular release I will tend to just more or less ignore it rather than intentionally making a big fuss about it. Although there are always exceptions.

what kind of behavior would you consider as being a d*ck about it?

OMG, the gatekeeping online about what makes a good fan is insane. I had someone just keep @ing me for two days after I expressed an opinion about a group. They were going in on how I shouldn't be talking like that and how I was being unfair to the other members yada yada until they finally realized that I didn't stan that group, but was just a casual listener and then they were all "well, you shoulda told me that you weren't *fandom name* and I wouldn't have taken you to task*, but you seem to like the group, so maybe consider joining our fandom! And I was like, ummmm, no thanks if I have to walk lockstep with the likes of you....
