I’m hoping it’s Sungchan, Shotaro, and a few members from other units. It would be weird for them to be the only two NCT members to not release music this year. Would love seeing Chenle participate as well since i don’t think he’s gotten to main vocal (due to haechan/renjun) and i think it’s very capable.
And this is extremely wishful thinking but maybe new members who will debut with Shotaro + Sungchan.
I would love any of the things you mentioned. I just don't think it's the right time for another full brand album.

I think we discussed in the guild the possibility of this new project being an introduction of new members, and that would probably my favorite arrangement lol.
If not then I hope it will be different from the Taeyong-Jaehyun-Doyoung-Lucas combo that seems to be reserved for the main U singles and other members that never got to promote a main U single would get the opportunity to shine, like Taeil, Chenle, Renjun and of course SungTaro

This is especially impressive because when you compare NCT separate units to their peers, they actually have much smaller discographies and fewer physical albums. For example "NCT" made the top 10 with literally 3 albums, 2 of which are 2 parts of the same album series. Dream made the top 5 with 4 EPs, 1 album & repack combo (which are still selling) and 1 single album which is peanuts when you compare it to how much content other top5ers released.
I know people always say that combining all units together is unfair to other groups, but separating them is also unfair to the units imo because of how NCT's concept affects the frequency of their releases.
Exactly this! If we count them separately we also have to take into account the short discography of the units. but antis say it's only unfair for the other groups to count nct as whole together
