Why were BTS the first ambassadors to walk in a global fashion show?

    When BTS were named house ambassadors of LV, the discourse surrounding the topic made it obvious how much kpop stans care about luxury brand deals (I came to learn that it's a point of extreme pride in kpop). After watching this year's LV show with BTS, I was wondering why they seem to be one of the few, if not the only, ambassadors to walk in their respective global fashion show. BTS had just become LV reps but they were already made the the focal point of the collection and it's show. I have heard that other kpop idols who represent brands just attend the show or are mostly involved in local or online campaigns. BTS doesn't have much experience in this realm as they devote all their time to music and making content yet they were still chosen to walk. Why haven't more idol ambassadors gotten this opportunity?

    its bc the men's artistic director wanted to work with them and decided to use them as the forefront of his own campaign. other idols are often just used as general promo by the overarching companies, only representing the brands in face and name alone. but bts became integrated in a project.

    Idk about y’all but when haters said they didn’t have DAESANGS, they not only got 1 but they swept an award show 2 years in a row. When haters said they got no HITS despite SD being bigger than any of their faves’ releases, BWL came and many thought it’d stop there not knowing Dynamite’s and Butter’s coming slayage. When we thought haters are going to ran out of things to drag BTS, they gloat about their faves luxury brand deals and mocked BTS’ MCD deal. And we all knew what happened just a few days after this clownery. Now we’re here, and unlike some of their faves, BTS got to walk not just getting invited to watch. :yesr:

    I think LV wanted to work with BTS fully. Like, other brands use Kpop group's individual member for just photoshoot, attending to sit & pasting their face on Brand.

    But BTS's case was different from beginning. LV had to pay huge to BTS as BTS are the most paid group in the world. They transfered whole thing to Seoul just for BTS which is not case for other kpop artists.

    I won't be surprised if I came to know BTS also gave suggestions about Sets. And the theme, colors, story lining level sync, walk really looked epic.

    I could genuinely saw Actor vibes in Jin & Tae's face. Yoongi, Jimin, namjoon's walk was epic, Jungkook's stare was killing, Hoseok's movement slayed.

    I think that is what's most surprising, that they got to walk as a group! Super proud about that as well since the OT7/ all or nothing idea is very important to them 😊

    Why should Tae place his feet to individual shit when he can easily grab world's biggest luxarious brand's deal with his 6 brothers who will treat them 7 like kings, stand up & transfer all things to Seoul just for having them...

    BTS always go above and beyond. Fashion is art. The film was art. BTS always want to have fans experience the highest forms of pushing the boundaries of art. I love that they immersed themselves and us in this project. From every aspect and angle it was beautiful

    I always feel so self-conscious as an ARMY because kpop fans like to call BTS cheap because BTS never gets those fancy ambassadorships (I hear those pay a ton, like every instagram posts pays a couple hundred dollars and idols get to free clothes from time to time after a magazine shoot). Even though industry rumours have circulated for years that BTS is really hard to book for fashion deal not because they lack demand, I just don't know what to believe. McDonalds and Samsung and home appliances just don't sound very luxurious, you know? Since I'm only 13 I don't really understand the luxury fashion thing. So why are BTS the first ones to walk a fashion show?

    Child, don't let what hateful Kpop stans say about BTS hurt you. BTS always have the last laugh as we have been seeing for years now. The more they try to degrade and insult BTS, the more BTS rises.


    BTS is now at a level they could not even have dreamt for their faves. Imagine the biggest luxury brand in the world doing all this for BTS. Just goes to show how much LV values this relationship and how important BTS is to them.

    don't worry, age doesn't have anything to do with it as im older and I don't understand very much about the fashion world either :nervousk: but from their interviews and behind the scenes content, BTS have hinted many times that they get plenty of offers so its definitely not lack of demand, but has more to do with their music commitments and lack of time to do much else (tours, multiple comebacks a year, weekly variety shows, etc etc). But yeah the question still remains why they were the first despite lack of experience :/
