I know there are gifted Filipinos with more singing ability than what is typical in K-Pop. They probably won't fit the "usual" K-Pop mould though.

there's a lot of non-black rappers in hip hop so yes, there should be diversity in kpop (if there isn't already)

Yes. I'm getting sick of the girl crush mainly girl groups. Every label has wanted a BLACKPINK type gg or change a concept into a girl crush concept.

K-pop stands for "Korean Pop" so, logically, the only thing required is to speak korean and debut under a korean label. Honestly, I don't mind if fully black people join the industry; especially considering the fact that K-pop:

a. Was heavily influenced by hip hop and rap during it's origins in the 90's (which is the main reason why the "rapper" position exists in the first place)

b. Still heavily utilizes trap, rap and hip hop.

Additionally, there are plenty of hits that were created by black producers and composers. Ironically, the kpop industry is also extremely colorist

In my opinion, it's also okay for white people (and any race) to join. Again, as long as they know korean and put in the effort to be an idol

No, kpop needs to stay predominately Korean. However, it's acceptable if groups have 1 or 2 members from other asian countries.

No I think it’s fine the way it is. We’re getting groups with a mixture of Chinese and Japanese and I think that’s a good thing.

Korea isn’t a multi racial country. Other East Asian countries in spite of being closer in looks to Koreans (tho ofc they all have their differences) are discriminated against. I can’t imagine how it’ll be if there was a south Asian for example in kpop or what they would have to face.

I don’t believe in diversity when the country of itself is not diverse. As a south Asian I’m not looking for representation in kpop. And I’m sure a Korean isn’t looking for representation in Bollywood.

However if someone moves to Korea and they debut : good for them. I just don’t expect it or demand it out of kpop.

Keep it majority Korean, some SEA or mixed race Korean, it's why it's exotic interesting and exciting to me.

I used to care about more diversity in KPOP, about more SEAsians but I don't really care anymore. There are many Thais and an Indonesian in alreadyvgroups and a Vietnamese was in a high profile survival show so it is pretty likely that more will come in the future. So forcing the issue would probably start a backlash from the Korean public. Just let things progress naturally.

Furthur more, other Asian pop scenes can up their game and gain more attention. It shouldn't be just KPOP doing representation for all of Asia.
