Didn't anyone find it strange that a whole bunch of bullying scandals appeared at the exact same time?

I guess the 'the victims were encouraged to step forward with the initial scandal involving volleyball players actually having consequences' narrative makes sense to some extent, but I also think some people were trying to take advantage of this whole situation...

Apparently it was something about Naver deleting some posts, there was actually a thread on this here. I can try and find it.

yes, I agree, as some people start to make noise about certain issues, there are definitely people who would profiteer off of it.
just like how protests invariably have looters embedded with the ranks. No one wanted them there and yet there they are.

i didnt found strange because there was literally an antibullying movement happening in sk at the time, similar to metoo.

Yes something like Naver ending the trending threads exposure so everyone took their last chance to expose stuffs & also lies

I've heard about this one too but i think it was because something change in their system that will make it hard for bullying news to trend so less people will likely know about it

I always find this argument stupid when its a crime with victims who are embarrassed about it. Its the same reason when the #MeToo movement happened, literally tons of people came out and talked about being sexually harassed/assaulted.
When one person is brave enough to share their story, it makes it more likely for others to come out and share. So kpop has alot of bullying allegations come out at the same time, because one person started it, and other victims felt like they could share their story next.
Its VERY common and not suspicious or mean its coordinated. -
These kind of things always start Naturally, a positive response from the Public to a Victim of something makes others feel safe to also share their experiences on the same thing.
Anger and Outrage builds Momentum within the Community for some form of Justice, and then the Bad Actors jump on to take advantage sensing an opportunity to personally profit either Monetarily or by raising their social standing (sometimes purely vindictively to punish someone they don't like)
