They started underperforming in the second half of 2019, and have continued it into this year (Japan decline continuing), so that's 2 full years.

They did gain fans outside of Korea and Japan but losing fans in their main two countries has made them stagnant overall.

Isn't it closer to 2 years? 2019 they kinda flopped with feel special and in that year kpop groups in general underperformed, that's when the public went off idols.

I actually love current Twice more than younger Twice. It’s like Gfriend. It hurts that more people like their cutesy image and not appreciating that they have grown up beautifully into mature women with different kind of style. I’m still hoping Twice will CB with a bang! Fingers crossed.

Twice deserve much better than these idiots.

Twice still are the nation's girl group of the third gen. Tho their albums have always experimented with many genres. Their titles have been veering towards songs that weren't their signature pop sound. Alienation of the gp doesn't matter as long as twice do justice to the songs they took part in.

The past 2 albums got heaps of critical acclaim. The more the members participate the more their albums are lauded by critics. Momo's love foolish was crowned the #1 best bsides of 2019 by MTV.

They also had their best record breaking sales of their career with their latest albums. Even when people say they underperform it's in regard to Twice's level of hits. Kura Kura did extremely well for an unpromoted Japanese song even for Twice's sky high standards.
