So today, a gem was just birthed into this world. It's called Butter and it shines like no other.
First of all, the beat and the bass hit sooooo hard and I can bop my head to that easily. And the melody and the beat support each other fantastically. For example, Jungkook's "Smooth like butter, like a criminal undercover" along with the bass is just a WHOLE ASS VIBE. The production is just wildly good, and I say that as someone who is studying modern music production.
Secondly, the melodies- CHEFS KISS MUAH
The rapping was great too and I'm glad all three members of the rapline got to rap in this song. The line distribution was just great in general, honestly. I love the little part at the end where J-Hope got his lines, it's so catchy and such a nice touch!
This song just does everything better than Dynamite. Less autotune, better lyrics, better production, better melodies and pacing, better line distribution, etc. It isn't BTS' best song but it's in my top 5, no cap.
