Unlike many so called "woke" youths of this present generation, I'm actually mindful of privilege. Most groups that have to be up at 3am to perform at music shows often don't win music shows. It's those who are somewhere far away doing something else that do. Those groups obviously have huge fandoms who are bringing them more millions into their bank accounts, so music show win is nothing to them. But for hundreds of other groups a single music show win could be the biggest achievement in their entire career. So I find it disconcerting when already successful groups can hoard music show wins and it doesn't mean anything except fan bragging rights while taking away opportunities for less fortunate people while they have to grind day in and day out knowing a win will be impossible due to the current circumstances. But then again privilege is the last thing people want to give up.
