Blinks on twitter (and here too apparently) and western stan twitter in general worry a lot about BTS and Billboard chart reform. So much faux concern for BTS, awww.
Also while keeping mum on their faves like Dua Lipa releasing 9 remixes...hmmm.
P.S. BTS will still outdo everyone with any type chart reform, Armys are a resilient bunch. Don't worry about BTS.
Honestly I don’t know what’s causing it but I don’t think Chart reforms happen overnight.
There have been a bunch of reforms that happened and not once have they caused a delay in the results of the weekly chart. They’re normally announced quickly and swiftly and enforced easily.

Dua Lipa is about to get her first #1 in US (long overdue, agree or not, Future Nostalgia is the best pop album in long time)
And Olivia about to get her 2nd #1 next week.

I'm sure they got sick of all the predictors taking out all of the 'mysteriousness and suspense' surrounding the results + all the chart accounts making people question Billboard's credibility. They're probably changing the formula last-minute to troll TOTC.

since when did Dua Lipa have a fandom big enough to get her charting through VPNs? Last time I checked she doesn't even have a fandom name like other pop stars.

Look at who has money and stock in Billboard and see why hot100 can be sketchy.
Drake releases a free album on spotify, spotify forces it into every playlist, and drake took up like 20 spots on hot100. Only backlash there was, was people cancelling their spotify subs and spotify removing the songs from playlists, nothing else. The second that western labels feel threatened we'll see changes alright.

I was wondering why you got mad and then remembered your Dua Lipa phase (or think it’s you or what it the ARMYBlink user? I always mix up you too). Anyway let’s see how the drama unfolds before getting huffy because no one is thinking that Dua needs vpns to chart at number 1. Most of us are rooting for her.

The charts no longer reflect the most popular or well liked song of the week, but which fandom has the most time and resources to game the system.

They will post shady headlines for BTS but their faves like Taylor and others do so many manipulations and they stay shut there.

Most of the Hot 100 singles had low digitals though.
The charts are frontloaded.. most artist biggest points are there debut week, especially the ones with huge fanbases. Then you have multiple HUGE artist coming almost every week so when a song does go #1 another song can easily replace it. Every since BB got rid of bundles songs haven’t been debuted #1 and free falling out the top 10.
Only 3 songs this year debuted #1 and ALL have remained in the top 10 after wards. Driver License staying #1 for 8 weeks!
