I wasn't even drinking or eating anything and I seized up after reading it! There are vids on Youtube covering it; like "ghost writing", there's "ghost singing".

I had to check the subreddit if that's an actual post and yep, it is.

For a subreddit dedicated to Mariah, that's an awfully small sub.

I don't know, Beyonce's around 250k, Taylor Swift's at 142k, heck J.Lo's at 40k. Lady Gaga and Rihanna are at 30k+ and 50k+ respectively.

Yeah, probably her fans don't use Reddit a lot but still, it's strange. I checked if there is another bigger sub dedicated to her but there isn't one as far as my search goes. Did they purge members? Really weird.

That is true . Although what I was pointing out there is that singers do get 5-figure subs in general but the generation difference is most probably a factor.

Since I'm down this deep rabbit hole already, I checked some of her contemporaries which is a bit hard since a lot don't even have subreddits so I checked those that came before and at least only a few years after her or within the decade.

A lot do seem to be somewhere in that ballpark - Madonna at 5k, Gwen Stefani which came later but still within the generation when Mariah's at her mainstream peak is at 2.7k, Britney and Christina who rose during the latter part of the 90s are at 16k and 4.7k respectively. Selena is only at 1.5k. Celine Dion at a measly 500 members. Shakira seems to be doing the best at 23k.

This is blowing my mind as I was under the impression they'd all have larger pool of redditors than they actually do considering a subreddit dedicated to cats standing up and just posting "cat." have better numbers at half a million. I still sometimes do not understand the internet.
