I mean if some know producers have done the job years with way more experience, it is kind of unlikely some young idols can produce equally good or better song? Their main focus is still becoming good dancer, stay fit, sing, rap and entertain fans. There is probably few exception, but people with more experience will most likely produce better song.
Does self producing group have disadvantage?

yes, but it depends on the idol what they want to do with their music in the end, it is their career, and their music and the song will be known by their name so depends on what they want

My most favourite Japanese group produces almost all themself. They also choreograph their own dances and and write their own lines. Only in a few songs they get help by other people and guess what. Making most themself was the best option for them since the company they are signed with had ZERO idea what to do with a group since they only had soloists before and now these dudes even menaged to have enough money from what they did to open their own agency
If a company dosn't takes all the money from the producing artists or acts like if the achivements of a selb-prodicung artist was theirs than I think most groups are on a good way when they do whatever they want to
Back as B.I was still in iKON he for example wrote and produce most stuff for iKON (especially for lyrics) and till that iKON was pretty much different from most other artists under YG since most groups under YG only helped a little to make their own music

Not for Day6. I can't imagine if people actually write songs for them, when they have been doing it every since debut.
Not just writing but also playing their instruments and composing the music itself. Doing so allows them to also hone their craft and make them better at playing instruments and also grow as an artist.
Their job of "entertaining" the fans is by actually improving on their craft and hence their non-skip discography

the thing i don't like is people dont appreciate self producing groups, yall they barely sleep, writing & producing song is not an easy, they have to work extra hard, while for most groups they already have strong & experienced producers behind them that can guarantee hit & high quality song,
but actually i enjoy self producing group's music lot better than producer's songs, SKZ main producers 3RACHA is literally one of the best producers in kpop

BTW for the part where I mentioned my fave Japanese group.
Their name is MADKID. They have 5 member and as far I know Lin writes a lot lyrics (especially his own rap-parts) and sometimes also choreographes dances and helps producing songs. Shin also sometimes writes lyrics and helps to choreograph dances and Yuki does the most with writing lyrics (especially his own rap-parts), choreographing dances and producing the songs. I'm not sure how mich Kazuki and Youta help, but they do something at least.
I give you as example a song on wich Yuki fully worked alone. He translated the song, produced it and even directed the MV

First of all, please define "good" and "better song". Good for who? Since music is subjective.
Stray Kids' strength is actually their producing skills, the audience they have maybe wouldn't have connected to them if the message they pass in their music wasn't personal. They had classes and studied for it, It's part of their identity, It makes their music more unique for me than If they share the same producers with tons of acts in the Industry. They brought new genres for K-pop more than one time.

Depends on the situation

depends on whether the groups suck at selfproducing or not
