On December 14th, 2016 MADKID released their first album. On the following day, they held their first concert.
In 2017 they held a few very successfull concerts that led the group into a major debut under Nippon Columbia on January 31st, 2018. MADKID was the first group ever to debut under Nippon Columbia, wich gave the group a lot opportunities on being a mainly selfproducred group. Member Yuki for example produces, composes and choreographes a lot fot the group.
MADKID originaly debuted with a member called Rikito. After him leaving they invited a close friend, Casey Anderson. Only half a year later Casey left the group to return to the United States where he grew up. Later on Youta (stylised as You-ta) tried to convince Shin to join the group. However Shin declined the offer for over a year and only joined after Youta threatened him he would make MADKID disband if Shin won't join them. Before joining MADKID Shin used to be member of a group called "Original Quest".
The group released their 3rd single 'Rise' on February 6th, 2019 that included the song RISE, wich became a big hit in Japan and among the international anime comunity as opening to the anime "The Rising of the Shield Hero". Following MADKID released their major debut album 'Circus' on April 4th, 2019 containing the second opening to the same anime called 'Faith'.
In 2020 the group created their own agency Future Notes. From this on thr group will be only produced under Nippon Columbia and managed with Future Note.
